Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr. Hiromichi Watanabe, member of the House of Representatives of Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, at the Office of chairman of State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon.
At the meeting, the Senior General and the delegation cordially exchanged views on donation and planting of cherry trees by Japan in the Maravijaya Buddha Park, where Maravijaya Buddha Image, the would-be world’s largest Buddha sculpture, is located, with the aim of Japan-Myanmar goodwill friendship, changes in Myanmar’s political situation, promotion of bilateral friendship and cooperation in economy and investment, appearance of fabricated information on Myanmar’s political situation in foreign countries and the need to let the people in Japan know the true situation.
With the Senior General, Joint Secretary of State Administration Council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin, U Aung Naing Oo and U Ko Ko Hlaing and officials were also at the meeting and with Mr. Hiromichi Watanabe, Chairman of Association of Japan-Myanmar Cultural Promotion Mr. Fumio Usui and officials as well.
After the meeting, the Senior General and Mr. Hiromichi Watanabe exchanged souvenirs and had a group photo taken. 100
