Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives H.E. Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringle, Foreign Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs of India

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringle, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, at the parlour of Zeyathiri Beik-man in Konmyintha of Yangon Command this morning.
They cordially discussed and exchanged views on exchange goodwill visits between the Myanmar and Indian governments and between the two militaries, bilateral trade progress thanks to bilateral cooperation, situations of conducting direct trade in bilateral trade activities and direct maritime trade, greater cooperation be-tween border region development, potential for India’s investment in necessary infrastructures in generating electricity in Myanmar, training and education, India’s technological assistance for development of agriculture and livestock breeding, India’s sale and donation of vaccines in COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures, the Tatmadaw’s assumption of State duties in accord with the Constitution (2008) following vote rigging in the 2020 general election, acts of terrorism being committed by the terrorist organizations in the country and counter-terrorism activities, response to terrorist attacks on education and health staff and measures for border peace and stability.
After the meeting, the Senior General and H.E. Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringle exchanged gifts.
Also present together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Aung Naing Oo and officials. H.E. Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringle was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Shri Saurabh Kumar and officials from the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
