In his address, the Senior General said that he as the State Administration Council Chairman met with members of Kachin State Government, departmental personnel, members of district and township administration bodies and town elders for the first time.
It was a duty of serving the responsibilitis for the social, economic and peace sectors without any needs. In discharging the State responsibilities due to situation and handover of the responsibilities, the State Administration Council was formed to implement the five-point roadmap and nine objectives.
The council emphasizes two points of nation-building tasks.
The first one is setting the political goal for firmly realizing the multi-party democracy in accord with the aspiration of the people. For the second point, as every government across the world strives for development of their countries as much as possible, the government of Myanmar prioritizes prospersity and food sufficiency.
Myanmar, endowed with plentiful of land and water resources as well as human resources, places emphasis on agro and livestock based businesses. More than 7 billion of global population always faces the food requirements.
Hence, it is necessary to produce advanced agricultural and livestock products to be exported to foreign markets.
Despite having rice and bean sufficiency, Kachin State needs requirement of edible oil.
Hence, the state needs to consider successful cultivation of edible oil crops for ensuring food sufficiency.
The reports from the Kachin State requested to allow industrial zone, jade mining and tourism industry in the state.
In fact, the production based on natural resources cannot be long term existence but short term businesses. So, extraction of natural resources under and above ground would not be encouraged. As Myanmar exports raw natural resources only, it cannot get the deserved prices. So, it is necessary to strive for export of finished goods. Some kinds of natural resources are renewable one, so it is necessary to resupply and conserve the renewable natural resources.
If the state relies on natural resources, it may face difficulties.
So, all the residences need to do the production with guarantees for the State. Efforts should be made for producing the quality agriculture and livestock products meeting standards with plans to send them to the markets of other regions and foreign markets.
It is necessary to export the marketably finished goods from agriculture and livestock farms to the market. If the necessary raw materials can be produced in respective regions, export volume can be reduced. Moreover, the products can be used at fair prices. Consequently, the local economy will develop. The ability to create situation of respective regions will live within.
Human resources full of skill and knowledge will be needed to successfully produce such agricultural products.
According to a preliminary census released in 2019, the number of high school and illiterate people in our country is rising. Education should be emphasized in the states as students there are weaker in terms of education. According to educational census data, there were more than 39,000 KG students in Kachin State in 2009 and some of these students were abandoned their lesson during the transition stages for various reasons, leaving only about 20,000 students entering the matriculation exam. Of the 20,000 students, only over 5,500 students have passed the matriculation exam, and it is necessary to improve the educational development of our country.
Short-term and long-term projects must be considered in the development of the region, and long-term education development must be done and encouraged. It is necessary to anticipate the future to produce the educated human resources such as education and health in the region. Schools were reopened after serving the duties of the State. However, due to the third wave of COVID-19, schools have been temporarily closed and efforts are being made to reopen them when they are well under control. Universities have been instructed to teach economics and law for the emergence of business scholars and to know the law in democracy era.
Access to electricity is a key requirement for industrialbased manufacturing, so efforts must be made to ensure electricity supply in the region.
Consideration should also be given to the textile and paper industries, using the region's abundant bamboo resources.
Regarding urban development, consideration should be given to have good water flow, fresh air, and improvement on road connectivity, improvement in the education system, health and public transport systems.
It is found that there is a lot of trade in our country and the production is weak. Therefore, it is necessary to push for a production-based business.
As Kachin State is a border area, it will be possible to export agricultural products to the market within hours. It is needed to be able to upgrade and export local products and make them successful as the market already exists.
As for tourism, it is a smokefree business and visitors will come if only the country is peaceful. It will need to be complete in all aspects in addition to living, transportation, food and security. It is necessary to work for the development of the region as well as the improving the sports sector.
Although sports may seem like for one person or a group of people, it needs to be encouraged as it can greatly develop the physical and mental development of a sports-developed country. Sports stadiums are being upgraded nationwide.
In addition to the athletes and trainers, it is needed to have fans that support systematically.
If one eats well, they will have a strong immune system and exercise can lead
to good health. One can work and study if they are in good health. That is why we are prioritizing abundance of food and prosperity, said the Senior General. The Senior General also stressed the need for efforts for the development of the region and the country and went on to talk about the political situation in the country.
After the meeting, the Senior General and party cordially greeted Kachin State Government members, departmental staff, district and township administration members and township elders that attended the meeting.
Then, the Senior General and party inspected the district stadium and state stadiums in Myitkyina and gave necessary instructions for upgrading the stadium.
