Union Industry Minister inspects industries, factories in Magway Region

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than met Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and relevant governmental officials in Magway on 30 October.
During the meeting, the Union Minister said arrangements are being made to reopen No (5) Industrial Training Centre (Magway) out of two industrial training centres in Magway Region. It should cooperate with the local cotton farmers not to occur shortage of raw materials for garment factories and it also needs to invite the local and foreign investors to work together with the private sectors and factories of the ministry.
Then, the Magway Region Chief Minister reported on the assistance to meet the needs of raw materials of the factories and cotton for the garment factories and work plans to develop the industrial sectors.
The Union Minister then visited the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection and the region department head explained the inspection processes of industry, electronic and boilers, supports for MSMEs and production of 4,787,785 viss of edible oil (7,818 metric tons) from 576 factories.
The Union Minister also instructed officials to provide the technical assistance and suggestions to produce quality oil in line with the rules and procedures.
At No (35) Heavy Industry in Chauk, he gave instructions on the proper directives for production processes.
He finally visited the Hydrogen Peroxide Plant and urged all to efficient use of machinery.
