COVID-19 vaccines delivered to Sittway, Thandwe by Tatmadaw aircraft

COVID-19 vaccines were delivered to Sittway and Thandwe townships in Rakhine State by military plane yesterday morning. Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines, which are stored at the expanded vaccine store depot on Min Dhamma Road in Yangon, are transported by Cold Chain Delivery Logistics trucks and military planes to various regions and states accordingly to the quality control standards.
On the morning of 2 November, 2,143 doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines and 4,286 syringes were delivered to Thandwe and 3,470 doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines plus 6,940 syringes to Sittway were transported by the military aircraft.
Authorities from each township have received all the vaccines and they will be distributed to other townships in Rakhine State and Paletwa in Chin State, officials said.
The COVID-19 vaccines will be distributed to the public as soon as possible as per the target population groups.
