3,400 schoolchildren in Hsihseng get jabbed against COVID-19

The COVID-19 vaccine is being given to the students aged 12 and above in Hsihseng Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, southern Shan State, from 17 October to 1 November by vaccination teams in designated areas.
The vaccination was administered by the township public health department staff, officials from the Department of Education, departmental officials, members of the Red Cross and volunteers.
A total of 3,400 students middle and high school students aged 12 and above in the township have already been vaccinated, officials said. The vaccine was administered in 14 immunization sites including Basic Education High School (Saikkoung), Basic Education High School (Nounghtaw), Basic Education High School (Banyin), Basic Education High School (Lwepud), Basic Education High School (Htamyang), Basic Education High School (Pankann), Basic Education High School (Saile), Basic Education High School (Pachakaloe) Basic Education High School (Panoh), BEHS (Namon) BEMS (Narrmon), Middle High School (Mamongson), Post-Primary School (Noungyin) and the remaining 12-year-old middle and high school students will be vaccinated against the pandemic, officials said.
