Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice- Senior General Soe Win addresses second coordination meeting of Central  Committee for Organizing 74th Anniversary of Independence Day

The Central Committee for Organizing the 74th Anniversary of Independence  Day 2022 held the second coordination meeting at the meeting hall of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, here, this afternoon, with an address by Chairman of the Central Committee Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice- Senior General Soe Win.

Also present at the meeting were Union ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin, Lt- Gen Yar Pyae, U Maung Maung Ohn, Dr Thet- Khaing Win and U Min Thein Zan, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr Maung Maung Naing, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Hein, deputy ministers Maj-Gen Soe

Tint Naing and Dr Zaw Myint, and officials together with guests who joined the meeting through video conferencing.

The Vice-Senior General delivered an opening address. Chairmen and officials from the State flag hoisting and saluting parade subcommittee, the

State flag saluting ceremony preparation and invitation subcommittee, the Independence Day reception and dinner organizing subcommittee, the firework launching subcommittee, the security subcommittee, the information subcommittee, the Independence Day message compilation subcommittee, the health subcommittee, the sports event subcommittee and the auditing subcommittee discussed progress of their assignments.

The Vice-Senior General instructed officials to systematically take security measures for successfully holding the ceremony with essence, hold the ceremony in line with the COVID-19 restrictions, prepare the tasks to prevent danger of fire in launching the fireworks, and organize the sports events and festivities to mark the Independence Day under the disciplines of COVID-19.

In his concluding remarks, the Vice-Senior General said he saw progress of works at the meeting and subcommittees need to go on more implementation of tasks. As the ceremony is at the national level with essence, those from respective subcommittees need to supervise the functions in conformity with the national level celebration. Officials must systematically take the security measures for all ceremonies with conscience.
