Republic of Union of Myanmar Security, Stability, Peace and Rule of Law  Committee holds meeting 6/2021; Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivers address

Republic of Union of Myanmar Security, Stability, Peace and Rule of Law Committee held meeting 6/2021 this afternoon at the meeting hall of State Administration Council Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw with an address by Chairman of the committee Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Also present were SAC members Admiral Tin Aung San, General Maung  Maung Kyaw, Mahn Nyein Maung, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, union ministers Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Dr Daw Thida Oo, U Khin Yi, U Myint Kyaing, U Maung Maung Ohn, U Ko Ko, U Khin

Maung Yi, U Aung Than Oo, Dr Pwint Hsan, Dr Nyunt Pe, Dr Thet Khaing Win, Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) U Tin Oo and deputy ministers.

Chief ministers of regions and states took part in the meeting through video conferencing. In his address, the Senior General explained in detail the main reasons behind the occurrence of terrorism, looting, attacks and killings in the country, the launching of terrorist attacks, lootings and killing against security forces, civil servants and innocent people by unlawful terrorist groups, NUG, CRPH and PDF, joint efforts of the officials of the relevant ministries and region and state governments in conducting anti-terrorism operations, the success in exposing and seizing terrorists and arms, recognition of the efforts of the security forces to expose and arrest them, seizure of narcotic drugs and the ongoing accelerated anti-drug campaigns, the government’s endeavours, which are within the framework of law, continuation of the path to multi-party democracy in accord with the public aspiration, vote rigging during the 2020 multi-party general election, actions taken against some officials of the previous government for bribery cases, lawful efforts of the SAC to successfully implement the five objectives and the need to seriously consider from various angles in enacting laws or  making amendments and additions to them for their comprehensiveness.

Then, SAC members, Union ministers, the chairman of ACC, the chief ministers and deputy ministers presented their relevant sectors and matters relating security, stability and peace and rule of law.

After looking into their requirements, the Senior General gave the concluding  remarks.
