Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University in Meiktila today. He was accompanied by SAC members Admiral Tin Aung San, General Maung Maung Kyaw and Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Joint Secretary Lt- Gen Ye Win Oo, union ministers U Aung Than Oo, Dr Charlie Than, U Khin Yi and Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Commander of Central Command Maj- Gen Ko Ko Oo and officials.
First at the meeting hall of the university, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw reported on the project work for launching a satellite to study the earth of Myanmar, sending of trainees abroad under a technologysharing programme, construction of a low-flying satellite station and progress of work; and Acting Rector Dr Aung Myo Thu of the university on history of the university since its opening, academic matters, construction of university buildings, academic subject matters, strength of faculty members, job opportunities for graduates from the universityand plans for the development of human resources.
In response to the reports, the Senior General called for cooperation with relevant departments in successfully implementing the satellite project, continuous sending of trainees abroad to acquire necessary technology, consideration of long term plans in constructing buildings, priority to appointing those who have graduated from the university to fill vacancies for faculty members in respective subjects, efforts to teach the students till they become proficientin their practical fields ensuring better quality than quantity, providing of completeteaching aid and equipment and effective use of skills and knowledge taught by the State spending a huge sum of money. He said renovation tasks would be carried for the betterment of the roads and buildings on the university campus while the Tatmadaw would also provide assistance for necessary appointment of faculty members.
Later, the Senior General and party went round in the university and attended to the needs as reported by officials.
