SAC members pay homage to Rakhine State Ovadacariya Sayadaws, Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw

State Administration Council members Mahn Nyein Maung, Daw Aye Nu Sein and U Moung Har including Union ministers, Rakhine State Chief minister and command commander paid homage to Rakhine State Ovadacariya Sayadaw, Rakhine State Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw and senior monks at Sasana Beikman of Lawka Nanda Pagoda in Sittway Township yesterday.
Then, the officials took Five Precepts from Presiding Sayadaw Bhaddanta Nandasiri of Nanda Yama Buddhist learning centre of Sittway Township and they donated to the Sayadaws.
The SAC members and party also visited Sakka Muni Thunsettaw Pagoda in Lawka Nanda Pagoda precinct and inspected the renovation works on Lawka Nanda Pagoda.
They went to World Buddha Sasana Azani Guru Guru Maha Guru Ashin Candamani Beikman and paid homage to a bronze statue of the Sayadaw.
In the evening, the SAC members viewed the final competition of Rakhine traditional wrestling, which was held to mark the 47th Anniversary of Rakhine State Day and the prize-awarding ceremony.
Then, the SAC members, Union ministers and Deputy minister U Zaw Aye Maung met representatives of Rakhine, Mro, Khami, Dainet and Thet ethnic people and discussed ethnic people-related matters, including literature and culture.
After that, they joined a dinner of the Rakhine state government hosted to mark the 47th Anniversary of Rakhine State Day.
