Renovation of Maha Anthtoo Kantha Pagoda in PyinOoLwin completed 100 per cent
Renovation of deteriorating parts of old Maha Anthtoo Kantha Pagoda in PyinOoLwin has been completed 100 per cent, according to the secretary of Pagoda Board of Trustees.
Maha Anthtoo Kantha Pagoda is one of the most attractive destinations for travellers in PyinOoLwin. Due to the disasters for years, some parts of the pagoda had become deteriorating.
“The renovation works began in the third week of November. Currently, the old flagstones of its platform have been changed with new ones. Faded parts of the pagoda have been recoated with new paints. Interior and exterior parts of the pagoda have been renovated 100 per cent’,” said U Kyaw Htay, secretary of the Pagoda Board of Trustees.
The pagoda equipped with more than 40 CCTV cameras for the security of the pilgrims is open to local pilgrim travellers from 6 am to 6 pm daily as usual.
