Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects Mandalay-Myotha Industrial Park City Construction Project

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by entourages, the Chief Minister of Mandalay The region, the commander of the Central Command and officials, inspected the implementation of the Mandalay-Myotha Industrial Park City Construction Project in Mandalay Region this afternoon.

First, the Senior General and party arrived at the project site and were welcomed by Chairman U Aung Win Khaing and members of the project.

Then, the chairman of the project reported to the Senior General on the implementation of the project by using the small-scaled models. Then, the Senior General and party proceeded to the site for the industrial zone and heard reports on the creation of job opportunities by inviting investment in the industrial zone and manufacturing of value-added products from local agriculture and livestock products presented by the chairman and General Manager Dr Tun Tun Aung of the project.

After hearing the reports, the Senior General gave instructions, saying as the project site is located in the dry zone, trees must be planted at the edge of the project site and empty land to create a green environment. In inviting investors in the industrial zone, business operations can be carried out quickly by applying for investment approval in accordance with designated rules and regulations of the Myanmar Investment Commission and relevant ministries. In connection with the use of electricity, the Senior General urged responsible officials to take measures to generate electricity by using solar energy in addition to electricity supplied by the government as the region is hot and has fewer rainy days.

Then, the Senior General and party arrived at the site of the regional livestock breeding zone to be built in Myingyan and Ngazun townships and heard reports on the construction of the livestock breeding zone on 3,000 acres of land in the two townships and measures are taken to supply water to the zone presented respectively by Director U Thein Win of Mandalay Region Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics and Director U Zaw Min Naing of Mandalay Region Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department.

The Chief Minister of the region made supplementary reports to the Senior General.

After hearing reports, the Senior General gave instructions on the need to take long term prospects of the livestock breeding zone into consideration by utilizing systematic livestock breeding techniques appropriate for the region, benefits that can be gained by building solar plants that will supply electricity for river-water pumping and livestock breeding and requirements in designating land areas as a livestock breeding zone in accordance with the law.
