Over 200 displaced people return home in Loikaw, Kayah state
Nay Pyi Taw , JANUARY 25
SECURITY forces are working with relevant organizations to rehabilitate the areas in Kayah State which were affected by the clashes between PDF terrorists, KNPP, and security forces.
Yesterday, a total of 222 people fleeing from the fighting in and around Loikaw returned to their homes.
The people were welcomed back systematically by the authorities and provided with necessary assistance. Following the arrest of NUG and PDF terrorists in Kayah State, clashes broke out between security forces and terrorist groups in January, and the security forces have gained control over the area since 22 January. Due to the restoration of peace and stability in the area, markets have reopened as usual, and pagodas and other religious buildings are reportedly alive with regular worshippers.
