Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win meets departmental personnel, town elders

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by SAC members Saw Daniel and Lt-Gen Soe Htut, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and officials, met with departmental officials and town elders at the local unit Yeiktha in Bawlakhe today.

In his speech, the Vice-Senior General said that as some service personnel staged CDM activities without considering the State, the government strived for operating its functions together with a good person who did not wish unrests and riots. The country overcame challenges based on internal and external pressures through public cooperation, especially the prevention, control and treatment activities of COVID-19. The country could overcome the challenges of the pandemic in its third wave through concerted efforts of faithful health staff and departmental personnel within a short time.

During the third wave period, some unscrupulous and greedy business people took the profit from the oxygen requirement of the people. As the government strived for controlling the situation with protective equipment, vaccines and medicines for battling the pandemic in time, the international community and INGOs expressed their amazing over these endeavours.

The government also overcame the challenges of the attempts of stooges and some foreign countries to collapse the banking system and business of the nation. Thanks to the policy of the Prime Minister of the State to encourage the local-made products, some importation was restricted with encouraging the locally made ones. So, the country won the trade surplus in the mini-budget of the 2021-2022 financial year. At present, efforts are being made to create more border trade routes to continuously export the products. The Vice-Senior General stressed the need for departmental officials to emphasize regional development with loyalty to the State.

The Vice-Senior General fulfilled the needs of the town elders and departmental officials in respective sectors.
