Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects functioning of Minbu General Hospital

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his entourage mem-bers visited the District General Hospital (200-bed) in Minbu this afternoon.

First, the Senior General and party were welcomed there by Head of Magway Region Health Department Dr Thaung Hlaing, Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Aye Mya Win and health staff members. At the meeting hall, Dr Thaung Hlaing reported on brief background history of the hospital, surgery, OG, pediatric, eye, ear, nose and throat treatments and other healthcare services, health staff serving their duty, COVID-19 testing, treatment and vacci-nation progress, functioning as a teaching hospital, keeping of ICUs for COVID-19 treatment, operation theatre and child wards and hospital needs.  

In response to the report, the Senior General said measures will be taken to reoperate the oxygen machine necessary for COVID-19 treatment. He said people from the townships of Magway Region located on the western bank of the Ayeyawady River come to Minbu Hospital for their treatment.

Everything is perfect in the hospital and the health staff deserve praise and recognition for serving their duty. He then stressed the need for keeping the hospital and its surrounding areas neat and tidy and preparing things for the convenience of patients when they come.

Next, the Senior General and well-wishers donated Ks-15 million for the medicine fund of the hospital and presented food for the health staff and patients to the medical super-intendent and officials.

Later, the Senior General cordially greeted the health workers.
