Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted a dinner in honour of the Diamond Jubilee of Union Day 2022 at the square in front of the city hall in Nay Pyi Taw this evening.
The Senior General and wife arrived at the square of dinner ceremony and were welcomed by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thray Sithu Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, union ministers U Maung Maung Ohn and U Ko Ko and their wives, Chairman Dr Maung Maung Naing of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and traditional cultural troupes of the national races.
Then, the Senior General and wife and the Vice-Senior General and wife cordially greeted the traditional cultural troupes from states and regions, chairmen and representatives of political parties, members of the Peace Process Steering Team, representatives of seven signatories of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement and four ethnic armed groups that have not signed the NCA, ethnic affairs ministers from states and regions, deputy ministers, senior military officers, chief ministers of states and regions, deputy ministers, members of the union level bodies and member of the SAC.
Then, the Senior General and wife, together with the participants, took the designated seats and enjoyed the launch of the drone demonstration of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day, respective flags of states and region and maps and names.
Then, the prize presentation ceremony for decorated vehicles in honour of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day was held and members of the SAC Dr Banya Aung Moe, U Shwe Kyein, SawDaniel, U Moung Har, JengPhang Naw Taung, Daw Aye NuSein, Mahn Nyein Maung and U Khin Maung Swe presented prizes and cash rewards to the winners.
Member of the SAC U Khin Maung Swe presented the prize and cash reward to Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win of Ayeyawady Region, which won third prize for decorated vehicles and the Vice-Senior General presented the prize and cash reward to Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Tun of Shan State, which won the second prize for decorated vehicles.
Then, the Senior General presented the prize and cash reward to Chief Minister U Tint Lwin of Magway Region, which won the first prize for decorated vehicles.
Then, the Senior General and wife enjoyed dinner with the guests.
Before and during the dinner, vocalists from the MRTV modern music band performed music to the guests.
After the dinner, the Senior General and wife, together with the guests, enjoyed traditional, ethnic dances performed by artistes of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and cultural dance troupes of regions and states at the open air theatre of the City Hall.
After the entertainment programmes, the Senior General and wife cordially greeted the ethnic cultural dance troupes which performed at the celebration of 75th Anniversary of Union Day.
The dinner was also attended by members of SAC and their wives, retired generals and lieutenant generals of the Tatmadaw, Chief Justice of the Union U Tun Tun Oo, the Chairman of Union Election Commission, union ministers and their wives, the Union Auditor-General, the Chairman of Union Civil Service Board, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, chief ministers of regions and states, the Governor of Central Bank of Myanmar, the Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission of Myanmar, senior Tatmadaw officers and their wives, advisers to the Chairman of SAC, judges of Supreme Court of the Union, members of Constitutional Tribunal of Myanmar, members of Union Election Commission, the Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and wife, deputy ministers, members of Union Civil Service Board, deputy governors of Central Bank of Myanmar, the Vice-Chairman of Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council, ministers of ethnic affairs of regions and states, members of the Anti-Corruption Commission, members of Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee, the vice-mayor of Nay Pyi Taw, the vice-chairman of Myanmar National Human Rights Commission and members, leaders and representatives of ethnic armed groups who have signed Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement-NCA, chairmen and representatives of political parties, departmental officials, ethnic cultural dance troupes, and guests.
