Budget to be allotted for maintenance of palace buildings at Kanbawzathadi Palace
The Bago Region Government stated that a plan is underway to allot the separate budget for maintenance of palace buildings at Kanbawzathadi Palace in Bago for 2022-2023 fiscal year.
Historians and Myanmar handicraft experts will give advice for maintenance of the damaged parts at the ground tiered roof building and Bamarathana throne hall and others in original styles.
The inspection committee for palace building was formed with the participation of departmental officials and historians to inspect and maintain the palace buildings.
According to the reports on survey for the buildings, the separate budget will be allotted for the buildings in the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The maintenance tasks will be carried out under supervisions of the archarologists, historians and handicraft experts.
Bago Region government will spend the budget of mini budget period of 2021-2022 fiscal year on dredging of the moats from Mottma Gate to northeast corner of old Hanthawady city of Bago. Bago Branch of the Archaeology and National Museum Department will take responsibility for such projects.
