Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, received Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar H.E.Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, who is leaving Myanmar on completion of her duties, at the parlour of the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council this afternoon.

During the call, the Senior General and the ambassador frankly exchanged views on diplomatic relations and friendship between the two countries, progress of trade between the two countries thanks to the adoption of the Baht/Kyat direct payment system in bilateral trade, efforts to promote investment, assistance offered by Thailand to provide oxygen to Myanmar during the second wave of COVID-19 in Myanmar and measures taken for providing humanitarian assistance.

After the discussions, the Senior General and the ambassador exchanged gifts.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the SAC and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin and the Thai ambassador was accompanied by officials from the Embassy of Thailand to Myanmar.
