In accordance with the saying “A lot of sweat can save blood,” training conducted at training schools as well as proper performance of daily duties by individuals amounts to undergoing training. In accordance with the training motto “study, undergo training and observe disciplines”, observing what one has been trained can be regarded as the upgrading of oneself and one’s unit. The job of a soldier is to exercise what has been trained and one’s qualifications and capabilities can only be raised by oneself.

One must upgrade oneself by improving the personal hygiene and dress code. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct proper training and to train personnel to behave properly and to perform tasks assigned dutifully as a habit throughout their lives.

Systematic curriculum and training aids must be fulfilled

Every personnel is provided with basic military training to perform duties higher than one’s current rank based on the position one is assigned. In doing so, developing curriculums is essential and it is necessary to review whether the curriculums are in line with the defence policies of the state and whether they can improve the capabilities of one’s units. It is necessary to improve the curriculum by studying international curriculums and by fulfilling contemporary needs because perfect training can nurture competent soldiers.

It is necessary to take measures to fulfil the training aids and only then, can well trained individual personnel who are good at handling weapons and equipment for respective service forces.

Qualified instructors must be employed to overcome difficulties in applying learnt theories in practical fields

In addition, it is necessary for instructors to be qualified and individual instructors are required to study and must possess the ability to make trainees understand. It is necessary for all instructors to

upgrade their abilities to be ones who are worthy of respect by trainees. It is always important to review the ratio between instructors and trainees and challenges encountered will be overcome successfully only when theories for respective sectors are properly taught.

Individuals must be trained to check themselves and to observe disciplines. As failure to train personnel properly can lead to great losses for the country, personnel must be trained properly.

Individuals must be physically and mentally trained to be good soldiers

In conducting training, it is necessary to train personnel physically and mentally and to provide them with food items that meet nutritional requirements. Only then, will individual personnel be fit and can physical features of a good soldier be developed.

Only when one is physically capable, can mental abilities be built. It is necessary to train personnel to enhance their mental abilities. It is important for instructors to understand the capabilities of individual trainees and to provide proper training to develop their ways of thinking according to their ranks. As training can nurture qualified officers and other ranks, it is vital for respective training schools to place emph-asis on training properly.

He said such a law course is conducted as the Tatmadaw members need to know and abide by the law. As we are going forward to multi-party democracy and developing a democratic administration, it is necessary to know and abide by the law more. Law emerges from discipline that means living and acting in accordance with code of conduct. Therefore, the students are required to study law-related subjects to know it truly as only if the essence and basis of the law is understood, will there be compliance and action in accordance with the law. As any matter is handled in accordance with the law, law is a compulsory study worth being known.
