Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects Myanmar Coffee Association and PyinOoLwin Coffee Park in PyinOoLwin

Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by his entourage, inspected activities of Myanmar Coffee Association and PyinOo Lwin Coffee Park in PyinOoLwin this morning.
On arrival at the association, the Senior General and party were welcomed by patron of MCA and Director of Mandalay Coffee Group (MCG) U Ye Myint and officials. At the meeting hall, coffee cultivation, production process, coffee nurseries, taste and quality control, grade-wise storage and distribution and requirements for development of the coffee industry were presented with the help of video clips.
Global market penetration of (Myanmar Coffee) Brand In response, the Senior General said efforts should be made for (Myanmar Coffee) Brand to become popular globally.
Development of the coffee industry was discussed during the meeting with entrepreneurs before Thingyan. In accord with the request, the relevant ministries, chief ministers and officials of coffee growing areas of the country and coffee growers have collectively set up an association. The requirements of coffee entrepreneurs must be fulfilled to the most possible extent. Advanced production and packaging methods ensure high quality coffee. The country is extending agriculture and breeding institutes with the aim of developing the agriculture and farming and human resources sectors. Programs must be made to use natural fertilizers contained from farm and agriculture waste. Success of the programs is a must for increasing national income. The Senior General also asked for more information about the business and its requirements.
The Senior General and party inspected the coffee taste and aroma testing process at the laboratory and visited quality-based coffee categorizing, grinding and storage processes of the MCG factory.
Activities of PyinOoLwin Coffee Park The Senior General and party then inspected the progress in turning coffee technology development park (Pwaydaung) into the PyinOoLwin Coffee Park. Director General Dr Ye Tin Tun of Agriculture Department and officials reported on the history of coffee technology development park (Pwaydaung), the goal of developing it into PyinOoLwin Coffee Park and ongoing tasks, coffee species of the park and quality, and plans to propagate coffee technology in cooperation with MCA.
The Senior General attended to the needs. He said instead of cultivating many different types of coffee, only the promising species, with high quality and ready markets, must be chosen for the benefit of entrepreneurs and coffee farmers. Systematic guidelines should be given to the observers to participate in the business. The PyinOoLwin Coffee Park must be a place where valuable advice is available for entrepreneurs and which helps them penetrate the global market.
Later, the Senior General and party inspected the progress of work of the park.
