In his speeches, the Vice-Senior General said observing designated orders and disciplines is safe and can help achieve the tasks assigned for personnel. As directives have been issued for respective ranks and tasks, it is necessary for personnel to study and try to improve them. The Tatmadaw has been contributing as a part to achieve the prosperity and food security of the country in accordance with the guidance of the prime minister. It is important for all personnel to understand and perform duties according to the tasks assigned.
The third wave of COVID-19 has been overcome with the sacrifice of Tatmadaw personnel in cooperation with loyal government staff and the public by playing a major role. Charities and philanthropic and social associa-tions have also cooperated with relevant departments in taking care of patients and other social activities. They have also offered as much as they can physically and intellectually in the nationwide vaccination program. Their cooperation has contributed nearly 100 percent to the realization of the guidance of the Prime Minister to vaccinate all the people of 18 years of age and above by 30 April 2022.
As Tatmadaw personnel are required to perform duties 24 hours, they have been defending the people against destructive acts and dangers while carrying out agriculture and livestock breeding tasks for food security by respective units, battalions and stations not only for themselves but also for the regions they are assigned duties. As they swear the pledge to sacrifice their lives for the country, citizens and the Tatmadaw daily, it is vital for them to appreciate the gratitude owed to the country and the Tatmadaw for providing assistance for their daily activities including basic needs as well as education and health.
As the government has been providing services for food, shelter and clothing, transportation, education and healthcare services, responsible officers are required to properly manage the convenience of the families of personnel and to take care of personnel to enable them to perform their duties without worrying for the security of their family lives with the spirit of parents. It is important to strengthen the existing unity within units. In doing so, it is essential to maintain the relations between the superiors and lower ranks based on mutual trust and understanding and to cooperate with the family spirit.
As the main duty of the Tatmadaw is to defend the nation, it is necessary to achieve success in taking assigned duties bravely by applying military training in respect of the interests of the State. It is to discharge duties with a sense of persistence and security awareness for the endurance of a nation built by ancestors in successive eras. In doing so, the Tatmadaw members will become good soldiers who the nation and the people rely on. To be dutiful in assigned missions and defend their families, fitness is the most important requirement. Only if one needs to be healthy as well as his or her family, will there be a happy family life that helps discharge duties happily.
