Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds peace talks with NMSP Vice Chairman Nai Aung Min

Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a peace delegation led by Vice Chairman of New Mon State Party (NMSP) Nai Aung Min at the palour of Bayintnaung Villa here this morning and discussed matters relating to peace.

Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commanderin-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, SAC members General Mya Tun Oo, Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun and Lt-Gen Yar Pyae. The NMSP vice chairman was accompanied by NMSP Joint General Secretary Nai Win Hla and NMSP Central Executive Committee member Nai Banya Lai.

At the meeting, the Senior General explained realization of the goal to ensure the inclusion of all ethnic races in the politics, ongoing education promotion programs that cover the entire country including ethnic areas as human resources imbued with intellectual and technological knowledge is the main requirement in the democratization process, adoption of multi-party democracy that meets the people’s aspirations, and establishment of a Union system based on democracy and federal system.

The NMSP vice chairman and party presented their views on the adoption of multi-party democracy that meets with public desires, establishment of a Union system based on democracy and federal system, and nationwide education promotion programs. Then views on the peace process and development of the Union were cordially exchanged.

After the meeting, the Senior General presented gifts to NMSP vice chairman and party, followed by a photo session.

The delegation led by NMSP vice chairman will continue peace talks with the Peace Talks Committee and the National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiate Committee formed with SAC members.
