Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by Lt-Gen Phone Myat of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air), Commander of Western Command Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, and officials met officers, other ranks and families at Minbya station this afternoon.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice-Senior General said being Tatmadaw members, they have to take sense of security in their all behaviors. Every works cannot be implemented by single person but many persons with team spirit. As they have to implement the assignments under the family spirit, they all need to build understanding and unity. To be able to do so, officials need to distribute aid provided by the Tatmadaw and the State to them in time.

Officials should fairly assign duties to the subordinates under the correct way. Commanders are responsible for taking care of life security of officers, other ranks and families under the directives, rules and regulations of the Tatmadaw. Only if so, will the subordinates dutifully implement the assignments. It is necessary to supervise office staff, adjutant and quartermaster measures for providing aid to them on time. Military personnel should not forget the military arts given by the training depots and apply them in the practical fields. To do so, they have to always take training to be ready to discharge the defence duty.

With regard to the education sector, the Head of State has been encourgaing the education and has set the aid for education.

Outstanding persons are honoured and allowed to continue learning till the master and doctoral courses in the higher educationsector.

As such, Tatmadaw members and families are to grasp the opportunities for serving their interests. Relevant parents and military officials need to provide assistance for families from the military units to complete at least KG+9 education.

In the health sector, the Tatmadaw members must be healthy in line with their nature.

Only when they are healthy will they serve family affairs and State affairs. Medical officers, nurses and midwives must be grouped at the headquarters of military units with supply of medicines and medical equipment. It is necessary to

prevent monsoon-borne diseases with the health awareness.

He stressed the need for individual and families of Tatmadaw members to control themselves for food and accommodation.

The Vice-Senior General then coordinated with officials to fulfill the needs of officers, other ranks and families.

The Vice-Senior General presented foodstuffs for officers, other ranks and families through officials.

After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General and party cordially greeted officers, other ranks and families.
