Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Royal Thai Armed Forces delegation led by Lt-Gen Apichet Suesat

Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Royal Thai Armed Forces delegation led by Lt.Gen. Apichet Suesat, which paid a courtesy call to the Senior General after attending the 34th meeting of Myanmar-Thai Border Committee, at the parlour of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon.
Also present together with the Senior General were Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and senior military officers and Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Chit Swe while the Thai delegation leader was accompanied by Thai Military Attache (Army) to Myanmar Col Saranyanis Sutthiwajachinadej and senior officers of the Royal Thai Armed Forces.
Both sides frankly exchanged views on the strengthening of existing friendship and cooperation between the two armed forces, enhanced cooperation between the two armed forces in various sectors including the stability, the rule of law and combat against narcotic drugs in border areas, political developments in Myanmar,efforts of security forces to eliminate violence, prospects for stability, development and combat against terrorism in border areas due to cooperation of the two armed forces, organizing friendly sport events for cultural exchange between the two armed forces, exchange of friendly visits between the two armed forces to share agricultural and livestock breeding knowledge, invitation to ethnic armed organizations by the Tatmadaw for talks with the aim of restoring peace in the entire country and measures taken by the Royal Thai Armed Forces to offer assistance to students, youths and CDM in Thai border areas to enable them to return to legal fold conveniently under the announcement of the SAC for students at home and abroad.
After discussions, the Senior General exchanged souvenirs with the leader of the Thai delegation and posed for documentary photographs with the delegation.
