As higher education facilities and faculty building are essential to promote the education of the new generations of government employees, the Nay Pyi Taw Academy project has been implemented after consultation with responsible officials. The site of the academy was previously chosen for a sports university but the planned sports university could not be opened for various reasons. Therefore, new buildings are added at the site so that it meets the features of an academy. It is important to take long-term needs in construction of teaching and administrative facilities.

It is necessary to systematically designate terms and formation of departments by studying technical terms and processes of developed countries. In selecting students, it isvital to mainly select offspring of government employees in Nay Pyi Taw and residents of eight townships in Nay Pyi Taw who meet designated qualifications and priority must be given to outstanding students in respective subjects. Measures must be taken to open courses for third- and fourth-year day students starting from the current academic year and first- and second-year students will be allowed to study at the university step by step.

Transportation services will be arranged for students in the current academic year so that they can go to the academy from their respective houses. Measures will be taken to build hostels in the future to enable students to study at the academy while staying in university hostels. The NSA will offer arts, science, economics, law, sociology, sports and medicine courses. It is imperative to generate human resources necessary for the countryby systematically conducting courses for important disciplines.

Plans are underway to offer doctorate courses at the academy. Efforts must be made to enhance Yangon University, Mandalay University and the NSA to be leading universities in the country with the aim of including them in the list of best universities in the world. In construction of facilities, it is important to make proper consideration for the long-term needs and durability. Priority must be given to construction of residences for teachers of the academy. It is necessary to take construction of buildings for honours into consideration in advance. Laboratories and libraries are essential in higher education and it is necessary to build an E-library at the same time. It is important to take accommodations for visiting professors and scholars into account in advance. Measures must be taken step by step to construct buildings to meet the features of an academy.

Then, the Senior General and party inspected the main building, construction of the main hall and the display of teaching facilities and aids and gave instructions on low costs, high standards and the needs to make proper considerations to meet the prestige of the academy to responsible officials. The academy project is being implemented under the instruction of the Senior General to nurture intellectual youths necessary for nation building in Zabuthiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area starting from April this year and is scheduled to complete in April 2024. For the convenience of students, lecture rooms, the assembly hall, teaching and administrative facilities, classrooms, laboratories and libraries are being constructed.
