Families of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) held the Waso robe offeringceremony 2022 at Anawrahta Hall of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) this morning, attended by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla.
A total of 27 venerable Sayadaws including Ovadacariya Sayadaws of Uppatasanti Pagoda Board of Trustees led by Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Presiding Nayaka of Bhamo Monastery of Mandalay Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidjaha Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa attended the ceremony, together with the Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife, SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence
Services Commanderin- Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Council members and their wives, the secretary and wife, the joint secretary and wife, Union level officials and wives, senior military officers and their wives and officials.
The Senior General and wife paid homage to the Buddha image in Anawrahta Hall and offered meals at the alms-bowl, flowers, water and oil light.
On the agenda, the ceremony was opened with three-time recitation of Namo Tassa, and Bhamo Sayadaw administered the Nine Precepts.
The congregation listened to the recitation of Metta Sutta by venerable Sayadaws. The Senior General and wife offered Waso robe and alms to Bhamo Sayadaw.
The Senior General and wife donated Waso robes and alms to Bhamo Sayadaw.
The Vice-Senior General and wife donated Waso robes and offertories to Vice Chairman of SSMNC Presiding Nayaka of Sasana Wepulla Pali Tekkatho Monastery of Meiktila Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Kovida. Council members and wives, the Council secretary and wife, the Joint Secretary and wife and senior military officers presented Waso robes and offerings to members of the Sangha.
The Vice Chairman Meiktila Sayadaw delivered a sermon, and congregation shared merits gained. The ceremony ended with the three-time recitation of Buddha Sasanam Ciram Titthatu.
After the ceremony, the Senior General and wife, the Vice-Senior General and wife, and senior military officers offered day meals to members of the Sangha led by Chairman Bhamo Sayadaw.
