Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets Governor of St.Petersburg Mr. Alexander Beglov

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in the Russian Federation, held talks with Governor of St. Petersburg Mr. AlexanderBeglov at the government office on the morning of 14 July.
Also present together with the Senior General were SAC member Mahn Nyein Maung, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, senior military and civilian officers, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Lwin Oo and Military Attaché Brig-Gen Moe Kyaw. The Governor of St.Petersburg was accompanied by the vice chair of Russia-Myanmar Friendship Association and senior members of the government of St. Petersburg.
Both sides cordially discussed the St. Petersburg government’s cordial welcome to the Senior General and his delegation members, 75 years of the friendship between Russia and Myanmar, St. Petersburg-based companies’ willingness to cooperate in Myanmar’s agricultural businesses, strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various sectors such as health, education, tourism, business, propagation of Sasana and cultural exchange, Myanmar’s political changes, the SAC’s efforts to ensure peace and national development by adopting the five-point roadmap, nine objectives and other good policies, Russia’s efforts to protect its national interest, expression of thanks to Myanmar as a friendly nation for granting free visas to Russian citizens on 1 July, measures to open Consulate General Office for Myanmar in St. Petersburg as quickly as possible, and state and regional level cooperation and then national level bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Governor of St. Petersburg exchanged souvenirs and answered the questions raised by the media.
Later, the Governor of St. Petersburg ushered the Senior General and delegation members into the government’s office and conducted them round the offices of the previous State leaders and organizational setup.
