Coordination meeting on undertakings of Union government continues for third day, attended by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing

The coordination meeting on undertakings of the Union government continued for the third day this morning at the meeting hall of the State Administration Council Chairman Office, with necessary guidance by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
The meeting was also attended by SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Council members, secretary and joint secretary, Union level officials, Union ministers, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, region and state chief ministers and chairmen of Self-Administered Zones.
On the agenda of the meeting, Union ministers and Union level officials reported on missions and visions of relevant ministries, duty and functions, progress and future plans through PowerPoint presentation.
In reviewing the reports, the Senior General stressed the need to promptly release true information. Efforts must be made for releasing true information to the people on time.
It is necessary for all regions and states to participate in the Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions in order to preserve Myanmar’s traditional music and fine arts.
The people need to be mobilized to read so as to accumulate knowledge.
The Senior General noted that as there are some difficulties in selling and managing many varieties of crops in the agriculture sector, it is necessary to minimize number of varieties of crops. Local farmers need to cultivate quality strains of crops. Systematic agricultural process will help increase peracre yield of crops. Implementation of river water pumping projects with the use of solar energy will have to supply sufficient water to regions and states. Farmlands must be reclaimed with the use of heavy machinery in the agriculture sector. The livestock sector must be implemented through cage system for animals to have more benefits. Officials were urged to control lessening the depletion of fish resources.
The cooperative measures are being untaken to increase production based on agriculture and livestock sectors. Success can be seen in implementing the emerald green project.
Cooperative societies must be formed with actually keen persons for extending more formations in regions and states to uplift socio-economic status of the rural people. Industries must be encouraged to manufacture adequate amounts of consumer products and construction materials at home.
As population and census are crucial in development of the nation, relevant ministries and region and state authorities need to join hands in correctly enumerate the data. Moreover, it is necessary to urge the students to attend technological universities and universities of computer studies for learning higher education.
Arrangements are being made to establish more agriculture, livestock and technical high schools in order to turn out human resources necessary for operating agriculture, livestock and industrial sectors. Roads must be built in line with the prescribed rules and these facilities must be in line with the road characteristics. Relevant authorities need to cooperate with each other in systematically designating the road areas.
Relevant administrative bodies and municipal committees are to supervise undertakings of systematic drains for proper flow of water so as to prevent flooding and inundation. It is necessary to arrange for service personnel to have housings at a time when they take retirement and for the in-service personnel and for the people to have affordable housings. So, it is necessary to consider the implementation of the housing projects in a long run.
As measures must be takenm for development of education, health, economy and transportation of national races, relevant ministries are required to coordinate tasks. In the same way as the languages and cul tures of national races are preserved, it is important to do so for Myanmar literature, language and culture.
Then, members and the joint secretary of the SAC reported to the Senior General on publishing correct news in a timely manner, building the public security system, terrorist acts carried out in states and regions by the CRPH, the NUG and so-called PDF terrorists under their command and measures taken to reveal crimes for the stability of the country.
Afterwards, the Vice Chairman of SAC Deputy Prime Minister reported on deaths and injuries among security forces, administrative, education and health personnel, innocent people, monks and nuns caused by attacks of terrorists during the term of the SAC, plans to form public security teams to restore stability in respective regions, the need to coordinate tasks of relevant departments for successfully restore security, stability and the rule of law in respective states and regions, uninterrupted efforts for prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19, coordination between relevant chief ministers of states and regions and relevant bodies for vaccination of people who have not been vaccinated, supervision in border areas to prevent illegal trade that negatively affects the interests of the country, issuing national registration cards to all eligible citizen to hold elections successfully stated in the five objectives, cooperation of relevant authorities in entering correct data in computerizing form N (4) and form 66/6 by the Ministry of Immigration and Population, supervision of relevant regional officials for timely completion of the tasks, making preparations for holding national level events successfully and closing loophole in security measures.
Then, the Senior General delivered concluding remarks, saying such discussions can shed light on tasks being carried out by regions, states and ministries and similar meetings will be held in the future. A fine tradition of making overview assessments by studying each other’s tasks among ministries, regions and states has been adopted. It is important to carry out tasks without hesitation in accordance with the constitution. Tasks that are difficult to implement must be reported to responsible officials and measures must be taken to make necessary changes. The mandate has been given to all states and regions.
Any government must strive for economic progress of the people and the State. It is necessary to build strong economy in marching towards a Union based on democracy and federalism.
Our country needs to restore a normal political situation.
Speedy efforts are being made to improve the economy.
To be able to build up the State as we have expected, ministries and regions and states must cooperate with each other. We need to try to achieve national progress within six months.
Regarding the education sector, all students need to be taught to have real education rather than passing grade. The students were poor in their critical thinking as they passed their grades but did not have real education. Local and foreign media are taking advantage of this. The Ministry of Education and related organizations are urged to help and cooperate in turning out really educated people.
In tertiary education, when students graduate from their respective universities, they must be able to apply their respective subjects as well as social skills. The application of the skills every individual has achieved will benefit the country. This is why assistance and cooperation are required.
It is also necessary to create a good environment on the campuses of universities and emphasis must be placed on education promotion.
Public health is important, so people need to be fully vaccinated against CO VID -19. Disciplinary measures are required to make sure the people follow the Covid rules adopted by the Ministry of Health. There should not be carelessness. Only when we are health, will be we be able to work. Enough food and water must be consumed for our good health. Without enough food and water, that will affect other matters. So, I call for efforts to ensure abundant food and water.
Preparedness measures are necessary as natural disasters may befall the country any time unexpectedly. Measures must be taken with public strength to ensure proper drainage to prevent flooding.
Efforts should be exerted for development in the regions and states. There is no way we cannot achieve success if the ministries and regions/states collaborate with each other.
With progress through regional cooperation in all aspects, greater progress can be achieved.
