Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and Commander of Central Com-mand Brig-Gen Ko Ko Oo, this morning went to Maha Wizitayon Monastery, Bhamo Monastery, Dekkhinayama Phayagyi Monastery and Masoeyein Taikthit Monastery in Mandalay and presented rice, edible oil, salt, gram, Padonma soap, offerings and cash for nine prerequisites donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air).
Vice-Senior General Soe Win and party went to respective monasteries, paid homage to Presiding Maha Nayaka of Maha Wizitayon Mona-stery Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Vicarindabhivamsa and members of the Sangha, Bhamo Monastery Sayadaw Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Com-mittee Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Kumarab-hivamsa and members of the Sangha, Administrator Sayadaw of Dekkhi-nayama Phayagyi Monastery Bhaddanta Nana and Agga Maha Pandita Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Hsinmin Sayadaw Bhaddanta Obhasabhivamsa and members of the Sangha, Masoeyein Taikthit Monastery Sayadaw Vice Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikad-haja Bhaddanta Kesarabhivamsa and members of the Sangha and offered rice, edible oil, salt and gram donated by families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air), masks produced by Myanmar Economic Corporation and Padonma soap produced by Padonma Soap Factory (Paung Township) of Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Ltd, offerings and cash for nine prerequisites. The Vice-Senior General and party asked after the Sayadaws for their health conditions.
With regard to the today’s dona-tions, 50 bags of rice, 88 viss of edible oil, 77 viss of salt, 132 viss of gram, 3,000 masks produced by Myanmar Economic Corporation and 90 cakes of Padonma soap each were donated to Maha Wizitayon Monastery and Bhamo Monastery, 100 bags of rice, 176 viss of edible oil, 154 viss of salt, 164 viss of gram, 8,000 masks and 750 cakes of Padonma soap to Dekkhinayama Phayagyi Monastery, 100 bags of rice, 176 viss of edible oil, 154 viss of salt, 164 viss of gram, 10,000 masks and 1,300 cakes of Padonma soap, offerings and cash for nine prerequisites to Masoeyein Taikthit Monastery.
On arrival at Tatmadaw COVID-19 patient treatment centre (Mandalay), the Vice-Senior General and party inspected preparations for readiness to admit patients. Officials conducted them round the centre.
Preparations have been made at Tatmadaw COVID-19 patient treatment centre (Mandalay) in accord with guidelines on prevention of COVID-19 issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports. The centre has been formed with members of the Sangha and nun separate treat-ment ward, male and female treatment wards, dining halls, kitchen hall, bathroom, toilets and sports gear. The centre is ready to admit 200 patients.
Moreover, control rooms were formed to monitor the conditions of COVID-19 patients. Medical doctors monitor them day and night with the use of CCTVs. The intensive care units (ICU), emergency ventilators and oxygen cylinders have been facilitated to the centre for emergency treatment if necessary.
