Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pays homage to Shwesandaw Pagoda of four sacred relics, monumental pagoda in Pyay

Chairman of State Admini-stration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the wife of the Senior General, entourages and their wives, the chief minister of Bago Region, the commander of the Southern Command and officials, paid homage to the Shwesandaw Pagoda of four sacred relics, a monumental pagoda in Pyay, this evening.

First, the Senior General and party were welcomed by members of the pagoda board of trustees led by U Soe Win. Then, the Senior General and party paid homage to the Buddha Image made of strips of bamboo and offered flowers, water and lights. Then, the Senior General  and party viewed the museum of the pagoda and gave instructions on systematic con-servation of historical records and maintenance of the museum building.

Afterwards, the Senior General and party viewed round the pagoda clockwise and gave instructions to officials on con-servation of ancient architectu-ral artefacts in their original styles in the maintenance of the pagoda before tolling the Royal Bell of the pagoda five times. Then, the Senior General sign-ed the guest book of the pagoda and made a multi-purpose cash donation for the pagoda, which was accepted by members of the pagoda board of trustees.
