The 2023 Diamond Jubilee Independence Day commemo-rative honorary title presenta-tion ceremony (second day) was held at Thabin Hall of State Administration Council Chairman’s Office today in two sessions morning session and afternoon session. Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing delivered an address and presented honor-ary titles.
Also present were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, the SAC Secretary and wife, the SAC Joint Secretary and wife, SAC members and their wives, Union level officials, Union ministers and their wives, honorary title recipient laypersons, Sayadaws, members of Sangha and religious leaders and families.
First, the Senior General delivered an address.
During the two sessions of the ceremony, the Senior General conferred Thiri Pyanchi Title, which is a performance related award, on 168 persons and Wunna Kyawhtin Title on 21 persons in the morning. In the afternoon, the Senior General conferred Wunna Kyawhtin Title on 132 persons, Alinka Kyawswa Title 18 persons, Theikpa Kyawswa Title on five persons.
Titles are being conferred on the persons who gallantly sacrificed life, blood and sweat for national peace, moderniza-tion and development during the past successive years from the independence struggle till today, who risked their own life in protecting Our Three Main National Causes, who achieved outstanding results in economic, social and public management sectors of the nation, who showed extraordinary skills in civilian sector or military sector in serving the national interest, who accomplished an international-level achievement in science, arts and other academic fields in the national interest, who are experts in literature and fine arts, and who discharged duties with unyielding spirit in ensuring State security, community peace and tranquility and rule of law.
After the ceremony, the Senior General cordially greeted the attendees, title recipients and their families.
Afterwards, the Senior General presented honorary cash awards to staff of Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Infor-mation and Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, nationality youths, and students, who served duties at the ceremony, and architects, who designed the honorary hall of SAC’s House.
At the ceremony, Thiri Pyanchi Title, which is a performance related award, was conferred on 168 persons, Wunna Kyawhtin Title on 153 persons, Alinka Kyawswa Title on 18 persons, and Theikpa Kyawswa Title on five persons individually in person.
