Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win attended the opening ceremony of exhibition booths, traditional food fairs and decorated vehicles commemorating the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day (2023) held at the Tabaung Grounds to the south of the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw this evening.
Also present at the ceremony were members of the SAC, union ministers, the chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers, members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, traditional dance troupes of national races from states and regions and officials.
First, the Vice-Senior General, SAC members Mahn Nyein Maung and U Saw Daniel, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn and Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin of the Nay Pyi Taw Council cut the ribbon to open the ceremony.
Then, the Vice-Senior General accepted the gift commemorating the opening ceremony of the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee of Independence Day presented by Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin of the Nay Pyi Taw Council.
Afterwards, traditional dance troupes of national races per-formed Pyae Yadana song and dances.
Afterward, the Vice-Senior General and party cordially greeted members of traditional dance troupes of national races from the Nay Pyi Taw Council and states and regions and inspected the exhibition booths and traditional food fairs commemorating the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.
The exhibition booths, traditional food fair and decorated vehicles are open to the public from 4 to 8 January and on display at the exhibition include 55 exhibition booths including 25 exhibition booths of the 25 ministries, 15 exhibition booths of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and state and regions and 15 booths for traditional food of national races and 48 decorated vehicles including 26 decorated vehicles representing ministries, 15 decorated vehicles representing the Nay Pyi Taw Council, states and regions, one decorated vehicle commemorating the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, one decorated vehicle commemorating the Union Day and five decorated vehicles representing the Tatmadaw. Members of the public can visit the exhibition free of charge and authorities have requested visitors to understand and accept proper security measures as the security has been tightened at entrances and exits of the capital and the exhibition venue.
