Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pays homage visit to Shwe Muhtaw Maha Pagoda in Pathein

Chairman of the State Administration  Council  Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by members of his entourage, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, South West Command Commander BrigGen Kyi Khaing and officials, visited and paid homage to the Shwe Muhtaw Maha Pagoda, the glory of Pathein, this evening.         

First, the Senior General and party were welcomed by members of the pagoda board of trustees. Next, the Senior General and party paid homage and offered flowers, water and oil light to the pagoda.

The Senior General made a cash donation to the pagoda and received Dhamma gifts from officials of the pagoda board of trustees.

The Senior General and party went round the pagoda clockwise and paid homage to the pagoda. Later, the Senior General gave instructions to the officials on measures to maintain the pagoda for its longterm existence and maintain and conserve other pagodas in Pathein and other requirements.
