Grand auspicious ceremony to enshrine religious objects donated by Leading Donor Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wellwishers across country into reliquaries at centre points of Jewelled Throne of Maravijaya Buddha Image held

The grand auspicious ceremony to enshrine religious objects donated by Leading Donor Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wellwishers across the country into reliquaries at centre points of the Jewelled Throne of Maravijaya Buddha Image being built in the Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory was held on the jewelled throne of the Buddha image in the Buddha Park this morning.
Present at the ceremony were members of the Sangha led by Ovadacariya Sayadaw for con-struction of the Maravijaya Buddha Image Presiding Saadaw of Pali University Mingala Zeyon Monastery in Pyin-mana Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Suddhammajotika Dhaja Bhaddanta Vimalabuddhi, the Senior General and wellwishers.
First, the Senior General paid homage to members of the Sangha led by the Pali Sayadaw at the briefing hall of the Buddha park and offered necessities and cash donations. Then, members of the Sangha led by the Pali Sayadaw, the Senior General and wellwishers viewed precious gems, gold, silver, jewels and rubies and silver coins from around the world collectively donated by sevendayborn wellwishers in golden jewel boxes. Afterwards, the Senior General consulted members of the Sangha led by the Pali Sayadaw about religious affairs and paid respect to them.
Then, the grand auspicious ceremony to enshrine religious objects began with paying homage to Buddha images by reciting Namo Tassa three times and recitation of the Metta Sutta. Afterwards, the congregation recited Yadanattaya Puja and Subba Singhaha Puja two metta verses three times.
Afterwards, the Senior General and the congregation meditated on Zaya Mingala verses recited by members of the Sangha led by the Pali Saydaw.
Then, the master of the cere-mony read out the message for the auspicious event. At the auspicious time, the Pali Sayadaw and the Senior General enshrined the boxes of religious objects donated by the well-wishers and the stone inscription for construction of the Buddha image in designated reliquaries on the jewelled throne in accordance with traditional rituals.
Afterwards, responsible officials enshrined religious objects collectively donated by wellwishers in designated reliquaries on the jewelled throne.
Then, members of the Sangha led by the Pali Sayadaw and the Senior General sprinkled scented water on the relinqueries. Afterwards, Zaya Mingala victorious gatha verses beginning with ‘‘Zayantaw Bodhiya Mulay’’ were recited under the guidance of the Pali Sayadaw and the master of the ceremony read out the victorious meritsharing message. Then, the Senior General and wellwishers shared merits to the people of Myanmar by reciting Sadhu three times.
Afterwards, the ceremony was concluded with the threetime recitation of Buddham Sasanam Ciram Tithatu and the ritual of showering gold and silver rains to mark the success of the ceremony.
Then, the Senior General inspected the construction tasks of the Buddha image around the Buddha park and gave necessary instructions.
The ceremony to enshrine religious objects at the centre of the jewelled throne was held on 27 January and 104 tical six pe and three ywe of gold, 200 tical one pe and one ywe of jewelry attached with gems, three kilogram of various gems, the horoscope of the Buddha, international silver coins and precious stones were enshrined in the relinqueries.
Moreover, it was announced that more religious objects would be enshrined in reliquaries at the centre points of the jewelled throne to enable the public to gain merits and wellwishers were invited to donate precious gems for religious objects to gain longterm merits. Wellwishers and donors across the country contacted responsible officials from the Nay Pyi Taw Council Union Territory and states and regions to donate precious gems for religious objects to be enshrined in the reliquaries.
As members of the public from the entire country donated precious metals and stones for religious, 1,360 tical and 5.4 ywe of gold, 1,684 tical 15 pe and 1.6 ywe of gold jewelry attached with gems, 126 pe and 5.1 ywe of silver jewelry attached with gems, various precious stones and pearls, international silver coins and precious gems were enshrined into reliquaries at the centre points of the jewelled throne of the Buddha image today and more than Ks-810 million cash donations were received for allround maintenance of the Buddha Image.
It was reported that stupas housing stone inscriptions, the fountain precinct, the main precinct of the Buddha image, prayer halls and the main stairway were decorated with lights to enable the public to admire the religious edifices.
