SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win attends State Flaghoisting and saluting ceremonies of 76th Anniversary of Union Day

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win attended the State Flag-hoisting and saluting ceremonies in commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of Union Day 2023 held at the square of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall this morning, and read out the Union Day message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
The Union Day ceremony was held in accord with the five national objectives: to strive for the perpetual existence of national solidarity and perpetuity of the Union through the internal strength; to make collaborative efforts of all ethnic nationals to restore perpetual and durable peace; to join hands in harmony for ensuring the prosperity and food sufficiency of the nation as two national plans through the Union spirit; to help develop all regions and states on equal terms and increase employment opportunities with ensuring the health and fitness of the entire National people; and to practise the genuine, discipline flourishing multi-party democratic system through fraternity, solidarity and united endeavours of all ethnic national brethren for building the Union based on democratic and federal systems.
First, the State Flaghoisting ceremony took place at 5.30 am, the flaghoisting team together with ethnic nationalities flew the Flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Departmental staff, social organizations, ethnic people and guests marched towards the square and started taking their positions at 5 am.
The State Flagsaluting ceremony was held at 7 am and the military guard of honour (Army, Navy and Air) took its position at the square.
Next, Vice-Senior General Soe Win took his position at the dais of the square and took salute of the guard of honour.
The Vice-Senior General together with those in attendance saluted the State Flag as the guard of honour played the national anthem.
The Vice-Senior General read out the Union Day message sent by the Senior General and the ceremony came to a close.
Present on the occasion were Union ministers, the Union Auditor General, the chairman of Union Civil Service Board, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior military officers, the judges of the Union Supreme Court, deputy ministers, members of the Union Civil Service Board, Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, Anti Corruption Commission and Nay Pyi Taw Council, departmental heads, staff members of various ministries, members of ethnic cultural troupes, ethnic representatives and guests.
