Message from H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Retd.), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand to H.E. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar
As this year marks the auspicious occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, it gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency and the people of Myanmar.
For the past 75 years, Thailand and Myanmar have enjoyed close and cordial relations. Our strong people-to-people ties, based on shared cultural traditions, have served as a solid foundation for our bilateral relations.
As neighbours sharing a long border and as “Natural Strategic Partners,”
our two nations have worked together to address common challenges and collaborated across wide-ranging areas of mutual interest.
In the spirit of true neighbourliness, I wish to reaffirm Thailand’s steadfast support for Myanmar’s pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous democratic federal union. Our commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples remains unwavering. It is my firm belief that our strong and enduring partnership will continue to flourish and guide our two countries towards a future marked by mutual peace, prosperity, and development.
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
