Various organizations welcome and support CDM’s statement that strongly opposed UN Human Rights Council’s report
A UN Human Rights Council report issued on 26 June 2024 said that some international banks, local State-owned banks and private banks were involved in Myanmar’s human rights violations, and called for action against them.
In fact, the report can ruin Myanmar’s international relations, in addition to harming the interest of its people. In this regard, the Central Bank of Myanmar, State-owned banks and private banks issued a statement on 28-6-2024, declaring that they strongly opposed the report.
Myanmar Press Council, YMBA (Central) Interfaith Friendship Organization (Central), Sananta Dhamma Palaka (Hindu) Federation, The Methodist Church of the Union of Myanmar (Lower Myanmar), All Myanmar Islamic Organization,
Painhnegon Rakhine Jamal Mosque, Buthitaung and Maungtaw Region Development Association, Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance, Liberation Church (Yangon), All Myanmar Hindu Central Council, Faith Evangelical Church (Bago), All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central), Myanmar Thabin Association, Myanmar Motion Picture Association, Myanmar Comedians Association, Myanmar Writers Association, Myanmar Art and Sculpture Association (Central), and Myanmar Sports Media Federation issued statements on their stand, saying that they welcomed and supported the statement that strongly opposed the report.
