Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win receives Ambassador of India to Myanmar

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win received Ambassador of India to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Abhay Thakur at the Credentials Hall of the Chairman's Office of the State Administration Council here this afternoon.
During the meeting, they discussed matters related to enhancing cooperation for maintaining peace and stability in the Myanmar-India border areas, increasing bilateral trade and investment, ongoing developmental cooperation between the two countries, strengthening friendly military cooperation, and systematic training and production of skilled workers and human resources for industrial development. They also exchanged commemorative gifts.
Also present at the meeting together with the Vice-Senior General were Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo, and other officials. On the Indian side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Indian Embassy in Myanmar Mr. Ashish Sharma, the Indian Military Attaché in Myanmar, and other officials.
