First, the Senior General paid homage to the Buddha image in the hall and offered alms in the emerald alms-bowl, fruits, flowers and water.

The ceremony was opened with three-time recitation of Namo Tassa. The Senior General and party listened to Metta Sutta recited by members of the Sangha. The Senior General and party recited Ariya Savatthi Gatha and Metta dispersed poem.

With regard to offering national-level regalia to members of the SSMNC, the Senior General supplicated that the All Gana Sangha Meeting held on 12th waxing of Nayon 1342 ME, 25 May 1980 successfully formed Sangha organizations at different levels with participation of nine Sangha Ganas with the aim of ensuring purification, perpetuation and propagation of the Buddhism. The State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee is the top among those Sangha organizations at different levels in striving for purification, perpetuation and propagation of the Buddhism.

Under the leadership of the SSNMC, the Theravada Buddhism is flourishing in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar with collaborative efforts of members of the Sangha and nuns in two Dhura measures. Meanwhile, the government and well-wishers provide four prerequisites to members of the Sangha, through collaborative efforts.

The State Administration Council built Maravijaya Buddha Image, with 18 feet in height of the throne and 63 feet in height of the statue, totalling 81 feet as the world tallest marble Buddha image in the Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory with the contributions of well-wisher people, aimed at showing flourishing and propagation of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar to the world, setting a centre in Myanmar for Theravada Buddhism, ensuring prosperity of the State and forging peace across the world.

A total of 720 stone plaque chamber pagodas were built, north of the Buddha, and all chambers accommodate 1,440 stone plaques bearing Tri Pitakat treatises in Myanmar and Romanized languages.

The government is encouraging the Buddhism by offering religious titles to members of the Sangha, nuns and lay persons at home and abroad for their considerable performances in contributing to perpetuation, propagation and flourishing of the Ganthadhura and Vipassanadhura on the Independence Day which falls on 4 January yearly.

SAC has been striving for the progress and propagation of the Sasana and making donations for the Sasana in accord with the counsel of the SSMNC Sayadaws. Its significant and noble deed is the compilation of the Sixth Synod version of three Pitaka in Myanmar and Romanized copies and donating the treatises to religious universities and monasteries in the country and abroad.

As the SSMNC is leading all the members of the Sangha who are carrying out the pariyatti, patipatti and pativeda taught by the Buddha, it is an organization taking the leadership role in shouldering the religious duties of the State.

As the SSMNC is leading all the levels of the Sangha organizations that are working for the purification, perpetuation and propagation of the Sasana, SAC will provide cars as the state-level insignia for the Sayadaws of SSMNC to enable them to serve the religious duties with light heartedness and facilitate their work. The Senior General then wished health and happiness for the Sayadaws in serving the interest of the Sasana.

Then the SSMNC Chairman delivered a sermon.

The Senior General offered cars as State-level insignia and offertories to the SSMNC Chairman and SSMNC Secretary Sayadaws.

The Joint SAC Secretary, SAC members and union ministers presented cars as State-level insignia and offertories to SSMNC Sayadaws. The congregation donated offertories to the monks.

Sayadaws led by the SSMNC Chairman recited religious verses and the congregation recited Buddha sasanam cirmtithatu three times to mark the conclusion of the ceremony.

Devotees ushered the Sayadaws led by the SSMNC Chairman to the place where the cars are parked.

The Sayadaws led by the SSMNC Chairman and the Senior General sprinkled scented water on all the cars for their auspiciousness.

The Senior General and party inspected religious buildings on the Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye hillock, temporary accommodations for State Ovadacariya Sayadaws and Sayadaws of State Sangha Central Working Committee on Hanthathiri hillock and upgraded streets.
