Families of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) hold second monsoon tree-planting ceremony for 2024

Families of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and all military commands are planting trees in large groups at the monsoon tree-planting ceremonies held since 2011 with the aim of conserving the environment, balancing the climate, providing shade, and supporting the national economy in a some way.
Families of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) held the second monsoon tree-planting ceremony for 2024 at a place near Yezin Dam, Zeyathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw today. Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing took part in the ceremony and planted a teak sampling, a precious tree species.
Also present were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in- Chief (Ar my) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, the Commander-in-Chief (Air), senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, union level officials and wives, senior officer trainees of National Defence College, officers, other ranks and families of offices and departments under Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army).
The Senior General and wife planted their respective samplings at the designated places together with the Vice-Senior General, the Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air), the Commander-in-Chief (Air), senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, and officers, other ranks and families who also partook in the ceremony. The Senior General and wife and party observed the officers, other ranks and families, who were planting trees.
Till this ceremony, a total of 198,825 trees including trees of precious tree species, perennial plants, and shade trees have already been grown at the surrounding areas of the dam
At the ceremony, 900 teak saplings, 600 mahogany saplings, 300 pyingado saplings, 600 pitauk saplings, totalling 2,400 were collectively planted. Families of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) have held 40 tree planting ceremonies during the period from 2011 to the current ceremony in 2024, and planted 198,825 trees including teak, perennial plants and wind breaker shade trees in the area for ecosystem preservation.
Entire Tatmadaw collectively grows 162,520 trees today
Likewise, military commands HQs were planting teak, industrial crops, perennial crops, and wind breaker shade trees at the tree-plantation ceremonies. Nay Pyi Taw Command HQ, planted 9,097 trees, Northern Command HQ, 10,935 trees, Eastern Command HQ, 6,274 trees, East Central Command, 11,810 trees, Triangle Region Command HQ, 13,143 trees, SouthEast Command HQ, 11,313 trees, Coastal Region Command HQ, 9,843 trees, Yangon Command HQ,15,241 trees, South-West Command HQ, 5,490 trees, Western Command HQ, 4,640 trees, North-West Command HQ, 12,667 trees, Central Command HQ, 34,315 trees, and Southern Command HQ, 15,352 trees. The command commanders and officials took part in the collective tree-planting ceremonies. The Tatmadaw including families of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air), military commands HQs and battalions and units planted 162,520 trees today.
