High-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing that attended summits including 8th Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation (GMS) Summit the People’s Republic of China left Bao'an International Airport in Shenzhen, PRC for Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport by special flight of Myanmar Airways International this afternoon and was seen off by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms.
Ma Jia, Myanmar Ambassador to China U Tin Maung Swe, Myanmar Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Zaw Zaw Naing, Vice Governor of Shenzhen Mr. Dai Jin Tao, Consul General of Myanmar Consulate-General in Nanning Daw Khaing Hsu Lin and officials.
Accompanying the Senior General, members of the delegation, SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Nyo Saw, union ministers, chief ministers and officials from Tanintharyi Region, Yangon Region, and Ayeyawady Region, senior military officers from the Office of the Commanderin-Chief (Army), deputy ministers, military and civilian officials also returned home on the same People accord rousing welcome to Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and high-level delegation, who attended summits in People’s Republic of China and held talks for national development flight.
During the visit, the Senior General and party attended summits in Kunming, held talks with Prime Minister of PRC H.E. Mr. Li Qiang, province level officials of PRC, and PMs of Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand, visited landmarks, universities and industries in Kunming, Chongqing and Shenzhen and held sector-wise meetings.
It was a visit that could bring about positive economic results for socio-economic development of the country and further cement friendship, economy and multiple sectors between the governments and peoples of the two countries.
The delegation led by the Senior General arrived at Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport in the afternoon and was welcomed by SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, the SAC Secretary, SAC members, union ministers, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, officials of PRC Embassy in Myanmar, the Nay Pyi Taw council chair, the Nay Pyi Taw command commander, officials, Myanmar citizens of Chinese descents, Chinese dance troupe, ethnic cultural troupes, officials of YMBA head-quarters, interfaith associations, artists, students, national races cultural troupes, and local people.
Students, local people and department staff accorded the Senior General and delegation a rousing welcome by holding placards that read – “Long live China-Myanmar friendship,” “may China-Myanmar multiple strategic cooperation be promoted,” “warmly welcome Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who has further strengthened China- Myanmar relations,” “Let’s further strengthen China-Myanmar bonds of friendship,” “May China-Myanmar cooperation generate successful results,” “Warmly welcome Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who is striving for all-round development of Myanmar” and also chanted slogans -- “Long live China-Myanmar friendship,” “May Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who has striven for race, language and religion, be healthy,” “May Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing be healthy,” “May China-Myanmar friendship be ever strong,” and “Long live Puakphaw friendship” and waved miniature flags of the two countries.
