Students return to schools in Yangon Region

STUDENTS are now happily back in school in Yangon Region as the COVID-19 cases across the country significantly dropped. All the schools were reopened on 1  November, in line with the health  protocols for COVID-19 issued by  the Ministry of Health.

The handwash basins are  installed in front of the class and  at the exit of the school. All the  students and the teachers are  mandatory to strictly adhere to  the health guidelines, including  measuring body temperatures,

THE Ministry of Commerce is making efforts to ensure people have access to the essential medical supplies that are critical to the COVID-19 prevention,  control and treatment  activities, including liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders, by  arranging continuous importation through trading posts,  international airports and seaports with Standard Operating  Procedures (SOPs).

1. With a view to the further strengthening of measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the  Union of Myanmar has issued the following announcements regarding temporary entry restrictions for visitors from all countries. All those restrictions were  extended until 31 October 2021 by the Ministry’s announcement dated 1 October 2021.

752 new cases of COVID-19 reported on 31 October, total figure rises to 500,073

MYANMAR’S COVID-19 positive cases rose to 500,073 after 752 new cases were reported on 31 October 2021 according to the Ministry of Health. Among these confirmed cases, 467,689 have been discharged from hosp itals.

Death toll reached 18,697 after 33 died.

THE Ministry of Commerce arranges import of medical supplies that are important for the COVID-19 prevention,  control and treatment activities through border trade cantres, international airport and seaports.

Yesterday, anti-COVID-19 equipment, many items of medical equipment were imported by three companies using four vehicles. A total of 30 tonnes of mask in four trucks were imported via Chinshwehaw border trade centre.
